Someone in a warehouse touches your package to load it into a truck, then the driver touches it again to carry it to your doorstep.
The cargo hold of the truck gets hot if it's not insulated/refrigerated, and that's a good thing for killing pathogens.
So how about bringing deliveries into residential areas in large vending machines, like an Amazon locker, so that people can pick up their own delivery after it's been sitting in the sun for long enough to destroy in pathogens that might have landed on it during its journey through its supply chain?
