I am preparing some PPT presentations for my middle school. I have another PPT show with a short video clip to which I want to add music, maybe a fade-in and fade-out, and so on.

I would like to extract the video clip and use it elsewhere.

How can I copy this clip as an mov, avi, mp4, etc. or any other format from one PPT so I can edit it, and then use it in another presentation?

I tried copy-paste but that doesn't work...

My wife, who is not a computer person, showed me how...

Copy the PPT presentation to an empty file.
Rename it as a .zip file.
Open the "zipped" file and find the video clip.
Copy or drag the clip to another folder.
Delete the zipped folder (no need to keep it unless you want to scavenge though it for other items).

I learn something old everyday...
