My company they hired a guy last week while we were all on a lay off and I found out too today he has a marketing degree and will be doing all marketing for the company too which is what most of my job was. Is it legal to hire for my job while I’m laid off? Especially during the COVID-19 virus lay offs. I live in the State of Ohio.

But a quick Googling shows me Ohio is an at-will employment state, so it's likely that you're SOL, pandemic or no pandemic.
