Automation is traditionally viewed as the enemy by champions of job-protection, but automation could be an ally in the fight against contagious diseases and contamination.
Automated delivery vehicles, for example, avoid the need for a delivery agent to hand-off deliveries to customers.
What other kinds of automated systems could help prevent/avoid contamination of products and packaging due to human touch throughout the supply chain, production and distribution?
