Picking up food, whether you're doing it for yourself or as a delivery agent, requires touching doors, entering buildings, exchanging money/cards, etc.
Could contamination be easily prevented by having take-out slots where restaurant employees can put the food through the slot after payment is received?
And what about taking payments via card-readers next to the take-out slot? Or as online payment?
The payment issue might take some time since it could require new equipment, but how hard is it to build take-out slots for customers and/or delivery agents?
It’s against health dept. laws to handle money or credit cards, and food. At my friends restaurant, there is one person to take calls and cash out customers, and one person to handle and pack food items.
