Health Minister Gan Kim Yong said that, according to guidelines set out by his ministry, doctors are to exercise judgment and decide how many days worth of medical leave should be given to patients.
Is "worth" redundant in the above sentence?
Thanks.

@tanguatlay,
I would say it is not. Worth refers to value of amount; therefore, it is needed.

@tanguatlay,
It is not redundant. "Worth" explicitly expresses the worthiness of the days of medical leave.

@tanguatlay,
... how many days worth of medical leave ...
... how many days of medical leave ...
The meaning is unchanged when 'worth' is deleted.
Redundant : (of words or data) able to be omitted without loss of meaning or function.
