Odd Places in the World

Finally a thread for videos and such of Staten Island. They meet all categories -weird, beautiful, odd, head-scratcher, terrifying, calming....

All depends where you go out there.

Cheddar is pretty good. Not only is it the birthplace of the most popular cheese in the World there is a gorge and beautiful caves. I always take visitors there.





And there's cider.

I cant download anything on this fone. Ojos del Salado, is one of my fav spots. Its the highest elevation STromboli volcano in the Anes, (were it not for underwater volcanos it would serve as a tie for tallest in the world).
Its on the Chil Argentina border and is a healthy hike to a "seth zone", then you need to climb.
Ive got some of the neatest sulfur crystals from surface vugs of the stuff. Mostly because its so damned remote that a sulfur industry hasnt sept through it and you pretty much need constant oxygen to work. We used to use medical rebreathers there.
