He was fabulous, I'm happy he had such a long life......but he will be missed.

I followed Douglas on a now defunct social media site, several years ago. His thinking was remarkably close to my own. The network news just reminded me how he helped end the Hollywood blacklist that came out of McCarthyism. He hired Dalton Trumbo to work on the script of Spartacus and boldly put his name in the credits. The blacklist was ended not long after.
I hadn’t known this story; heard it on a mini-obit and was pretty impressed. There was a time not so long ago that careers could be ruined firwhat Douglas did. I feel like we’re edging back toward that slope.
