@Linkat,
Today some individuals where I work got an "upgrade" to their email - others will get this wonderful experience as they change this piecemail.

Well surprise surprise - it just did not work as if by magic as it was explained it would be.

Well what do you do - but reach out to the helpdesk. I decide to use the online "chat" instead of calling due to the difficulty in communicating with those that their native language is not english (i.e. our partners in India).

So I start the chat - explaining I need with email as my email is no longer working. Chat answers waiting for an agent - see I am number 41 average wait 30 minutes. An hour goes by - I type in the chat --- Hello - anyone out there it is now an hour; this goes on for over 2 hours -- I bring the computer to bathroom so I can shower and keep an eye out because I can't lose my place in line.

After over 2 hours - I decide to call instead - well everyone must be using the chat (probably for the reason I stated above) - because it does not take too long to get someone to help - and he can speak clearly! It does take him long to fix --- I can take he is not one of the best but it seems to be fixed.

Here is the kicker --- I have 3 emails from 3 different people from the helpdesk asking for more information on my problem! Dumb things that would not help other than employee id phone number stuff that is in the system. I guess these geniuses at the helpdesk couldn't figure out that if my issue was that I could NOT get in my email that it is likely I would not receive an email from them?!

@Linkat,
Yeah, I had my computer is the shop last week. They needed my email address in case they needed to get in touch with me while they were working on the computer. This was not a confidence builder, as they used to say.

That is probably what they are assuming. But I would think they would ask the question. Also sometimes you have different email set up on your phone - than what is on the computer being serviced.

There are several businesses that automatically decided everyone texts. I don't. I took it as far as contacting the provider and asked to have it shut off.

It's not that my phone is ancient, it's one these android smartphones. I just have no interest in people and advertisers contacting me non-stop with nonsense. Call or send an email.
