following crush on insta

Soooo....a few months back when i just started noticing that my crush pays attention to me i found him on instagram and requested to follow him. Then before accepting my request he sent me a request, i was being competitive so i didnt want to accept him before he accepted me, but i gave up and we both accepted each other. A few days later he did something that made me wanna remove him as my follower, and the next day i stopped following him too. He never requested to follow me again, and i understand why haha. But my question is CAN I FOLLOW HIM AGAIN or would it be weird. It has been like 2 months and so much happened between us. The thing is i dont want him to think that I LIKE HIM by following him once again. I need good advice:( In my culture it is not very attractive for boys when girls try to get attention from boys
