some type of block keeping me from visiting certain websites

I have some issue...

I have a newer 1.4 ghz 1gig ram 80 gig HD computer

using Microsoft 2000 professional and IE 6

I can visit this website, google, yahoo and a few others however most spyware removal sites are blocked, sites like bangme.net are blocked microsoft.com is blocked...

anyway i am somewhat profecient in computer use so

I have checked my host file and created a blank new one

I have downloaded spybot, MS anti-spyware, cwshredder, hijack this, and the like and then ran them in safemode.

still nothing still blocked...

if this helps... even spftware is blocked from internet access, for example I can access Star Wars Full Experience but i can not race online with Nascar 2004Thunder

why one game connects and not the other?

other software such as spyware removal tools cannot update themselves from their own servers... the are blocked as well

well this is very frustrating, I hate to ask for help... it digs at my soul.... but I have read all the theads I can find and some are close, but when i try the resolution I get nothing.

so any help would be great. here is my hjackthis log

Thats a great question. I'm interested in knowing why too. I have a brand new mac, and I sometimes have that problem.
