Thank you! I am utterly delighted at the emergence of all these incredibly talented women working in the arts right now. It's a bit as if we've suddenly tuned in to half the human art community previously invisible.
I've recently been on a serious Wes Anderson binge, rewatching everything and attending to interviews with him and his accomplices and with special attention to how what we see in the frame is developed and constructed. I'd be hard pressed to detail why I see similarities between his work and Gerwig's (your smart young analyst here made the comparison as well) but it surely has something to do with how empathetic both directors are. I'm totally un-surprised that both are entranced by Saoirse Ronan's brilliance.
