Hi Davis,
I'm not sure what you mean by orphean -- orphan (parentless)?

I'm sure you know there's a wide variety of music types. What kind of English songs do you know and love now? That information will help us suggest things you will like.

I hope we can help you!

orphean means nice and graceful music.

I like hiphop beats and rap.

Such as backstreet boys,blue boys.

Especially"curtain fall,one love,you make me wanna,sexy,etc"sung by Blue Boys.

I really wanna find some nice songs of rap.

Could you please help me?Also send me some useful sites.

Thank you in advance.

Yours Davis

Hello englishdavis,

I would think that the majority of the people who have listened to rap and hiphop music, would not consider it to be in the "nice and graceful" category.
In my opinion, rap is just particularly juvenile "protest" poetry, normally spoken in an aggressive or intimidating manner, to an accompanying beat.

Backstreet boys and other such groups are usually manufactured by the Music Industry, and generally have no exceptional talent of their own, apart from appealing to the young (girls normally) who will buy their records.

Try looking for a singer/songwriter, or a band that writes their own music, who are in the current charts of either the USA, or U.K.

My suggestions would include..... Coldplay, Ben Folds (has a hit song called "landed" at the moment), Katie Melua and Damien Rice, to name but a few.
All of these have real talent, and are pretty highly regarded in the UK.
The people from the U.S. may have some other people to suggest, as I know that they also have a wealth of talented bands/songwriters.

But....if it's hiphop and rap that you are into......I'm sorry, I cant help.

I have never heard about them, cause discs saled in the shop are limited in China.

I also want to get new style songs, but limited by the area.

Maybe you could show me the websites concernning them you mentioned.

Davis,

Contrary to popular belief, there is quite a lot of nice and graceful rap music, with smooth clever lyrics that can be both playful and political. But some people only know what they hear on the radio. You'll have to look closely for some of my recommendations.

Suggested rap artists:

1. Dr. Octagon
2. Mos Def
3. Deltron 30/30
4. Blackalicious
5. Common

Great beats, brilliant, funky, melodic loops...enjoy!

Hi Davis! Try looking for those artists at Amazon.com. Use the drop-down menu to search "all products" and then search for them by name. Then you can click on "popular music" to choose CDs without having to look through books, DVDs, etc. Amazon will also make recommendations based upon what you're searching for.

Best wishes!
