Should I still be in pain 21 days after wisdom teeth removal?

Did a dentist remove the wisdom teeth? If so you better go back and make sure you don't have a dry socket or an infection. The dentist can give you medication or suggest methods to reduce the pain. Don't mess around with pain in your mouth, if it gets infected it's an easy path to the bloodstream and up into your brain.

You should have received specific instructions from the oral surgeon who removed your teeth. Including proper cleaning of the sutures (i.e. rinsing with salt water) - with instructions of seeing him back if you have things that indicate infection - again these instructions should have been provided to you after the surgery.

A question - were you under anesthesia? Most do this for removal of wisdom teeth - if that was the case you should have had a friend or family member with you - they may have the instructions.

In any case - you should contact your oral surgeon. Whenever you have any procedure if something does not seem right - unusual pain or anything else - you should contact them.

You should definitely talk to your dentist. If it is dry socket, there isn't much you can do about it but wait it out with ibuprofen. Dry socket happens.

You should see a dentist because it is possible it is an infection or something worse.
