@karlywaam,
many ways - the thing is finding what YOU like to do.

Some things could be if you like music and dancing - there are fitness classes around that. If you like team sports - just playing recreational sports might be your thing. Sometimes just changing up what you are doing helps - if you run on a treadmill - maybe go running outside.

Is there a sport or something you like to do? Have your fitness centered around that - if you like to be around other people join an exercise class. If you like the outdoors go hiking.

The thing is it can be fun - you just have to know what your "fun" is.

For example, I live where it gets very cold in the winter. I used to live near a bike trail and people would cross country ski on it in the winter. I bought some cross country skis, learned how to use them and viola - I found something I could enjoy in the winter and get exercise.

@karlywaam,
One could gamify ones exercise routine. Literally. The Wii Fit. Ring Fit Adventure for Nintendo Switch.

Some gyms have rowing machines that utilize simple games to motivate the rower.

Maybe if you have a close friend, you can challenge and support each other in light competitive fitness activities. OR... get into team sports.

@Linkat,
That's awesome! What are your thoughts on fitness online and apps? Have you ever tried one?

@tsarstepan,
Love all those ideas. Do you ever do any online fitness apps or competitions?

I use the Pacer walking app. Not quite as enjoyable as the Samsung walking app (used when I had a Samsung phone which I don't have one now). The Samsung Health (I think is the right name) has a monthly global competition for counting steps.

I do need an functional, practical exercise app to help me keep track of my gym visits. Haven't done any research ... so... I leave my once per week gym visits untallied.

I haven't - I would not doubt my kids have - I think it is more what works for you. What is fun for you - if you like computer stuff then this might be right up your alley - I can't speak for it at all as I know little to nothing of it.

The important thing is to make it fun because then you will participate and want to - it should be fun just like when you are a kid and play.

@Linkat,
Kickball tournaments and real world "Quidditch" tournaments are pretty popular for young adults. Good for socializing and getting exercise.
