Quiet Sunshine's poll was missing some vital categories, so I decided to start a new one. Sorry, Q.S.
I feel absurdedly proud that I consist of 100% of the poll. Strange.
For the record, I'm 19, and feeling very young due to the results of Quiet Sunshine's poll.
OK - I'm in. Though I'll be in my current bracket only a few more months <sigh>
You know you've firmly entered the downhill side of middle age when you can't recognize the new cars by brand, can't stand the popular music, and realize you're going to more funerals than weddings.
the 20-30 take the lead, at least now
There are only two of us in my age bracket, but then, that's been the story of my life. LOL
Here is something I have found interesting ...
I have gotten quite addicted to the on-line scrabble game. I am not very good at it but, at last count, I have played folks from 32 different countries on six continents. The way the site is constructed allows me to "chat" with my opponent while we are playing. The opportunity to chat is (a) the real reason I play and (b) why I am so bad. I waste a lot of time when I should be concentrating on the game.
Anyway, I get matched with someone and I typically start out with, in the chat part "Hi. I'm Poorpuppy from Virginia (usa) ..." I am amazed at how often I get the response "Hi, from (wherever); how old are you?"
One player said s/he was "wary of playing/chatting with children." But I have only heard that comment once.
Are Americans more sensitive about age than folks in other countries?
I'm third generation American, and have never been shy about my age. I'm now 69 and will turn 70 on July 2.
I hope I look as good as you do when I am your age CI!
I would never have guessed ?
I too will be leaving this age bracket as well..
I am slowly closing in on my 30th b-day. Reluctantly.
July 8th.
Well, thank you, shewolf, but you didn't see my recent driver's license picture. LOL
C.I--
Official, assembly-line photographs don't count.
We still gotta live with them, tho! LOL
