Artist and Title?

A friend of mine is trying to make a cd of a mixtape she'd gotten when she was younger. She's gotten every song but one by googling the lyrics, but can't find this one.

Random Bits of Lyrics:
"And we love you...so come on, come on, come on....(Repeat)" - This is in the song a lot.
"Some people say live for today"
"Running for cover with one another"
"Running for shelter, helter-skelter."

That's all from the same song.
We know for sure that it was from 1997 or before, because that's when she got the tape.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
