My normal body temperature has always been 99.8 since I can remember. Why is that? I’m healthy as a horse and my doctors have never said otherwise.

Mine's usually lower than "normal". It's more of what is "normal" for you. 98.6 is an overall average "normal". You just have a different baseline.

Your metabolism is dictated by your genes. Your genes are individually yours. There is nothing else to it. Unless, a doctor finds that you have some kind of rare disorder? Just leave it at that.
