Hi, my name is Ron. Have you heard what God did for us? God gave us his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, so that we can be saved and go to heaven when we die. Heaven is described as a beautiful place full of joy with no more sorrow, sickness, suffering and death. The good news is that around 2000 years ago the Son of God already paid the penalty for our sins with his own blood when he died for us on the cross. The reason we all think wrong things, say wrong things, and do wrong things is because we were born sinful. People who die without being saved will be separated from the love of God forever suffering in hell and the lake of fire. Jesus qualifies to be our Savior because he is fully God and fully man without sin. He suffered on the cross and died in our place and was buried for three days and then he came back to life walking out of the tomb defeating death. To be saved all you need to do is acknowledge before God that you are a sinner and put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to save you. Do you believe in your heart the message I just shared with you and will you trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord? If your answer is yes, then you are saved and the Holy Spirit now lives within you. Now you can grow in godliness and learn more about God by reading a little everyday the written word of God called the Holy Bible. A good place to start reading the Holy Bible is "Ephesians" and you can find it online for free
Jesus (PBUH)was just one of the prophets, like Muhammed(PBUH) right?

Churchill offered nothing post WW2. Atlee who played as large a part as Churchill's deputy pm in the defeat of Hitler offered the NHS and the Welfare state.
We took the best offer, imagine if we'd still got your shitty healthcare system that murders poor people, there would have been no point fighting Hitler.
Then again you value the profits of big pharma executives over the lives of children.
Ingratitude meaning not letting poor people die from preventable diseases like you do in America.
Atlee's role was no less important or significant than Churchill's and he had a vision for the future.
Are you proud of the amount of children your country murders through neglect?
Speaking of being ungrateful those in the know in the English government, at the time, allow the computer genius Truning, who had help save the lives of untold hundreds of thousands allies soldiers by breaking the German code machine Enigma, to be driven to suicide for the crime of being gay.
So off hand two of the English men who was of major important is saving the UK during WW2 was ill treated by their ungrateful countrymen.
I see Ron is a one hit wonder. I didn't want to intrude, if he wanted a discussion. But, since he doesn't, I feel free to say, What god? The one that allows huge numbers of children to be murdered, imprisoned, raped, starved - before they have any chance to defend themselves? And that's just for starters. Screw any god you can think of, in my view.

@BillRM,
What is wrong with you? You have a real problem with me in that you constantly attack me for things that happened before I was born.
As for Turing, he wouldn't have been treated any differently in America, America's laws were every bit as homophobic as Britainb's.

Why do you hate the English so much?
It not the English people or even you that I hate it your attitudes at time.
Nor do I understand the complete disrespect that was shown to either Churchill or Turing as both men was owe one hell of a large debt by the whole free world let alone the UK.
It nice that Churchill was given another term as PM along with a hell of a nice state funeral and that your government got around to issuing an apology in regard to Turing but as hard as you try there is zero justification for the treatment of either man no matter how hard you for one had try to justify such behaviors.
Quote:
It's too late to save World War II codebreaker and computer inventor Alan Turing, who was chemically castrated for being gay in 1952. But 55 years after Turing's death, the British PM Gordon Brown has apologized.
Turing is one of the most intriguing and important figures in British intelligence history. His work on an early codebreaking computer called the "Bombe" helped break the German Enigma code during World War II, giving British intelligence a way to eavesdrop on secret German military communications. After the war, Turing continued his work on computers and later devised an intelligence test for machines called the Turing Test.
Throughout his tenure with British intelligence, Turing was openly gay. He never tried to hide his sexuality, and the government chose to tolerate him while he remained an asset to the war effort. When he continued to conduct open affairs with men during peacetime, however, the problems began. He was convicted of "gross indecency" and forced to undergo chemical castration. His security clearance was revoked, and he had to quit working at the UK Government Communications Headquarters.
Two years later, he was found dead in his home, apparently after eating a cyanide-laced apple. The death was ruled a suicide, though some have questioned whether he might have been assassinated.
The campaign to get a public apology issued for Turing was started by computer scientist John Graham-Cumming, who got thousands of people to sign a petition, including celeb Ian McEwan and science celeb Richard Dawkins. On Wednesday night, Gordon Brown issued an apology for Turing's "horrific" treatment that read, in part:
Without [Alan's] outstanding contribution, the history of world war two could well have been very different.
The debt of gratitude he is owed makes it all the more horrifying, therefore, that he was treated so inhumanely. Alan and the many thousands of other gay men who were convicted as he was convicted under homophobic laws were treated terribly. Over the years millions more lived in fear of conviction.
This recognition of Alan's status as one of Britain's most famous victims of homophobia is another step towards equality and long overdue.
But even more than that, Alan deserves recognition for his contribution to humankind β¦ It is thanks to men and women who were totally committed to fighting fascism, people like Alan Turing, that the horrors of the Holocaust and of total war are part of Europe's history and not Europe's present.
So on behalf of the British government, and all those who live freely thanks to Alan's work I am very proud to say: we're sorry, you deserved so much better.
Though the apology is symbolic, since Turing is dead, it is nevertheless a very powerful symbol. One of the greatest twentieth century heroes of geeks and queers alike is finally vindicated.
Neal Stephenson features Turing in his novel Cryptonomicon, which deals in part with Turing's role in creating the Bombes at Bletchley Park - and in part with the cute graduate student Turing dated. I am ready for Russell T. Davies, former showrunner for both Doctor Who and Queer as Folk, to write and direct the ultimate science fiction miniseries about Turing now.
Izzy he was a politician with his bad and good traits. He did the best he could with the advancements of England and her people in mind. Unlike our crook of a president that worries about his and his families wealth only. He is just the opposite of god like.

@BillRM,
You fail to understand the feelings over here at the time. After the sacrifice of WW1 everything went back to the way it was. There was no way that was going to happen again. The Conservatives offered nothing, they had no vision for the future, just more of the same.
The contrast with Labour couldn't have been more different, they had a vision, and it captured the nation.
Ken Loach summed it up.
Turing was treated appallingly, but don't kid yourself that he would have been treated any better in America. American laws were every bit as, if not more, homophobic than British laws.
And nobody knew about Enigma and Bletchley until the mid 70s.
