whenever I say that , after the Hummer they cant make any car uglier and then you post this. Is this really a RR? Why did they skirt the fenders like that,

That's no Rolls - its a fairly recently built "replicar", as is this

1987 Gatsby, built on a Ford Crown Victoria chassis.

Still not as ugly as a hummer, IMO although the hummer now has competition from that miscarriage on wheels the Scion.

Well, I'll be jiggered and hung up by my thumbs! It's probably the exact same car, too! A little bit of photo editing here and there, and presto! Laughing

They had some like that in Germany in the '60s, too. They were quicker than they looked.

I very much doubt its the same car; a few hundred of 'em were built over about a 10 year period. The "Cop Car" one likely was a drug-related confiscation, but I wasn't able to find anthing specific on that particular car. I'm sure if I tried hard enough, I could nail it's history down, but I don't really care to expend the effort Mr. Green

That newerMercedes SUV can stop a clock also. It looks like a refrigerator box. There was a period about 3 years ago when the SUV manufacturers felt that uglier was a true sales feature.

I guess it's just a matter of asthetics.

You could put wheels on a fridge if you wanted to...
