I became aware of this belief of Nichiren Shoshu and Soka Gakkai a few years ago. In a previous thread, I learned that it was Nichikan, the scribe of the current SGI Gohonzon, who was instrumental in establishing this teaching that Nichiren is the True Buddha of our age. This teaching, of course, is rejected by all other Nichiren schools.
Should Nichiren be referred to as "True Buddha Nichiren" or "the True Buddha, Nichiren"?
Thanks.
