I am just wondering, if when someone grooms a child to believe they are not dangerous, that they love them when they are just "buying them". Or that they ignore the child until they start wondering what they can do to gain some kind of attention, does it always mean that person will abuse sexually or could they have other motives?

Children had their uses such as being able to go fly a kite or shooting off a model rocket or air gun shooting or setting up a model railroad using the kid for cover.
Of course every once is a while you do need to share the toys with the kid.
