Aaaaaaannnnnnnnnd, the last duct tape thread I remember on here somehow proved that it was originally called, yes, duck tape, and that people keep fixing the real name.
Of course, I don't know, but it sounds good to me...

It was the fortieth formula tried to solve the problem of removing water/moisture from carburetors.
Also pretty good, but not great, for removing the gummy stuff left over from failed attempts to hang stuff up with duck tape.

I once cut my finger to the bone with a big kitchen knife and had a gig to go to in a couple hours. Gritted teeth, poured in some alcohol, screamed and cursed, squeezed together, closed with duck tape.... went on about my business. I have a scar today but it merely enforces my swashbuckling image.
