I just bought a new yet rare and limited edition book and the price is pretty much guaranteed to rise. Anyway, my question is. The book is still in the wrapper, and it seemed at first to be wise to leave it that way. But as I being to think about it it might be better to open it up. SO that ten years down the line the first time it opens it doesn't split in half. Anybody have any opinions?
As a rule of thumb, a collectable in as-new condition with intact, sealed, factory packaging will fetch a higher price compared with less pristine items within its category. The conditions under which the item is stored will have significant impact on the item's eventual marketablility.
