I have always wondered what a non-venerable institution would look like.

Hold your dominion.

My dear Slovakian friend, Dagmaraka, deserves my heartfelt appreciation for starting this birthday thread and the stream of well wishes and gifts which followed.

All the gifts and flowers are almost too much. I was hoping for, but never expected to receive, a couple of warthog asses. For that I thank you, CJ.

Smog, littlek, and kickycan's birthday salutations have left me staring out the window and wiping away a tear as I realize those three have, however briefly, thought of ol' Ratzenhofer. It feels my heart with an inner joy.

Eva's flowers were breathtaking and delicious. The goats and I fought over the red ones.

Osso's promise to dress me up was startling, but worthy of consideration.

Lord Ellpus, CodeBorg, and msolga.... what can I say? Those were some of the greatest friggin' gifts ever bestowed upon a human being. The mere fact that you three consider me human was a gift enough. The presents were mere icing on the cake.

And just as I was starting to sadden, thinking that squinney and Edgar Blythe weren't going to show....wham! they waltz in with their best wishes. My heart is filled with such joy it is almost impossible to put into words. Thanks, you two.

I knew noddy would show. Her and I are tight. Thanks for showing, Noddy, and I will make a concerted effort to hold my dominion.

And the fact that dlowan not only showed up, but used our old term of endearment when she greeted me, that being the cherished Gussy pooh, leads me to believe that the deep down inside.... she still cares.

What a fantastic day! And now that my teenage years are finally behind me, I'm going to make an effort to be a responsible adult.

A brand new swamp boat for your birthday!!!

http://www.southforkresort.net/Photos/SwampBoat.JPG

I heard your old one was dead in the water. Hope you like this one! I had them paint it camo just for you. I asked a couple of guys from the boat dealer's place to motor it out to you. They should be there in a couple of hours! Watch for them!

The guys said that while they are at your place, they'd paint a custom mural on the side of your house for you! No extra charge! Wow! You know what an art lover I am...I couldn't turn that down! They're bringing their own paint and everything!

As a birthday present I'm sending you a framed copy of a picture I took of your house. I hope you will hang it right by the front door.
Happy Birthday you ol' coot.

Did I ever mention that I like older men? Gus finally is one. Come here, sweet cheeks -- smoooooch! Don't try to run, tasty-britches, I'll flap my ducky wings and descend on you in one swoop.

Happy Birthday Gus!

As you may have noticed, we paid someone to fix and paint your old outhouse...I bet this is one of the best birthday presents you ever had!

Unfortunately, I've missed this until now.

So, I've thaught that my present for my old friend must be something really special and unique.

Here a life photo from the transport of the Prince (arranged by me) to Gustav's home

Happy Birthday GustaISthekingofcomedy! I picked up this movie for you to watch (if you haven't already). It's a bit old but still worth a watch. It's called 'The King of Comedy' Robert De Niro and Jerry Lewis.

Here is part of the best joke in the movie -

"Come on hit me! What's the matter, don't you want to graduate?!" Laughing Laughing

If you want to know the whole joke, you will have to watch the movie. Very Happy

And because I think you are the King of Comedy, here is a crown that caught my eye. (You can wear it while you watch the movie)

Gus was so excited about his recent purchse of a hosta that I went out and bought him a whole bunch of them. I took down some trees, filled in some swamp and knocked down this old fowl white and red building (oddly, it looked like it was newly painted - man that place stank!). Looks pretty good with my handmade birdhouses, no?

Yep, but I couldn't afford as many as I needed, so I sifted some swamp bottom to get those pebbles.

Well, it's absolutely lovely! I'm particularly impressed with the way you used old ladders and scraps of found wood to transform the place into such a serene spot. The goats and capybaras will love it!

Have you ever given serious thought to becoming a Swamp Architect? You could have a future here.
