and now comes the call, a prayer ring for the ailing divine MIZ Deb who is ailing from disease unknown to the common man.(there being no such critter as the common woman) I beseech you one and all to offer up homage insuring that our resident rabbit recover intact or die in her sleep.(whichever occurs with the least noise)

I'll toss my prayer hat in the ring. Sending warm thoughts to kill whatever is ailing Deb.

Geez Louise, thanks.

This oughta help.

I can see that redness retreating down my leg - halleluljah - still, my gain is the bugs' loss.....what a dilemma!

I am conflicted - that can't be good for the immune system.

So much for the lucky rabbits' foot.....I guess it never WAS lucky - for the rabbit...

Cellulitis.

Just got back from seeing me own doctor - after having an emergency locum visit the other night. (They were happy to come out rather than have me wait for hours in the ER - ain't that sweet!)

The consensus is thank god I got the antibiotic when I did. (I was tossing up not bothering anyone until morning - but rang them at around 11 pm to get advice.) It is fairly established, but the antibiotics seem to be working - though the doctor today thought I needed a longer course.

And lots of rest - with leg elevated. For another three days. (Already had 3 off work). Which is, coincidentally, the length of the current long weekend. So - no socialising for this little black duck! Nemmind - I was seeing the hospitals and the drips - and the spreading infection and all that after the doctor's visit the other night!

Bless 'em - I don't think they realise I have seen the worst - I don't need to be scared int taking it seriously!!!

To quote the redoubtable Noddy: Hold your dominion, Deb. We are all (every single one of us, even Gus, even I) thinking of you.

Dys, thanx for alerting the community to this catastroke.

Yeah, i knew that. As i'm sure you are aware by now, i take little in life as being truly serious. This does not mean that i have no sympathy, but simply that i will introduce levity whenever and wherever possible . . .

. . . and the goofier, the better.

(I knew about your poor kitty because i do read the Cat Room thread, but don't tell anyone, least of all Miss Kitty. The way she's always awinkin' at me is unnerving enough as it is . . .)

I think it was Jimmy Durante who made a habit out of mangling the word "apstrophe" into "catastroke." But he was also in love with Mrs. Calabash, so...hey, is this thread getting too esoteric or what?

Cellulitis sucks.

This one is prolly from a spider bite - prolly a white tip:

Here is a photo of one - though they are much smaller and less dramatic looking in real life!!! And very placid:

It is kind of funny - thay are all over work - and we think I got bitten at home.

I hope it is dead...

I think scared is actually a good way to be about cellulitis - means you insisted on treatment sooner rather than too late.

Maybe you could get a pet lizard? They eat spiders, don't they?

Lol!!!

You know what is REALLY a pity?

We have our second in a line of team psychiatrists who are mortally afraid of spiders - (the last one was so bad, I used to clear any spiders that were around before he got to work - and I'M spider phobic to a degree, too!).

We have been treating our current one - and had just got he rcalm about the work white tails.

Mebbe I better tell her I had surgery nobody knew about instead????

Lord bless you - I didn't have to insist - THEY did.

I have cats. THEY'RE supposed to take care of this type of stuff.

They're trying to kill me.

I wonder if they know they aren't in the will?

How can I tell them?

Lol!!!!

I thought i had terrible gastro, a wild fever, massively painful muscles and joints - and when I could see sanely again, I noticed a nasty red swelling on my ankle.

I thought I had a bite with a localised allergic reaction - but I was too sick to be much alarmed - I stingosed it.

I didn't realise i had a massive thumping infection until it started climbing my leg!
