What should I do? Hubby will be away for business for the beginning of next week. Granted I still have the two little monsters to care for and work, but can anyone think of something I can do while I have a few free nights?
Is there a book you've been meaning to read for a while? I find I like it when hubby is out of town for the solitude it brings in the evenings.
Go to the cinema,
have a night in and pamper yourself with a face mask etc,
go through your wardrobe and get rid of old clothes to give to a charity,
learn to cook a new recipe,
have a party for one ie put on your favourite music and jump about,
make a list of things to do in the rest of your life,
sleep.
oooh, lucky you. i'll be single for three years, it seems!
invite the girlfriends over, have ice cream and watch guys and dolls, or some such movie that the menfolk isn't willing to watch.
whatever you do, DON'T flirt with the tennis instructor...
1. Repair the lawnmower.
2. Wash the car.
3. Organise the garden shed.
4. Clean out the guttering.
5. Weed the borders.
6. Spring clean the house.
7. Stock up on groceries.
8. File all the domestic paperwork.
9. Pay all the bills (make sure you get receipts)
10. Do all the washing and ironing.
......Day 2.
1. You've stopped reading this now,
2. Haven't you.
3. It really doesnt matter
4. What I say anymore cos
5. You're going to ignore my
6. Suggestions and buy
7. A large box of chocolates and
8. Some bubble bath, along with
9. A good book, a large Gin and Tonic
10. And soak yourself silly
11. I dont know why I bother giving advice
12. Nobody listens.
Hey, Lord Flash heart, that was funny, but I have to say that list 1 was rather man orientated.
Men should know their place by now.
Choccies and a G&T sound gooood.
Freeduck - there is probably hundreds of books I would love to read. I might just do that.
Material girl - some great ideas - the going out part I will probably forgo with the little ones around. But I may pamper myself after putting them down. Some dark chocolate, candles and a bath - I do believe I have some bath salts from about 3 years ago that I have not been able to use - maybe some champagne or at least some nice red wine.
Dagmaraka - I was contemplating having a chick flick night. Ice cream - one of my favorites!
I don't have a tennis instructor, but maybe the groundskeeper (if he is anything like the one on desperate housewives).
Ellpus - you are a dud.
All that thought and effort....and what do I get? Abuse !
OUTRAGED !!
Television is really exciting these days!
So is seeing how high you can count!
Have you ever climbed onto the roof of your house?
Collect bees in a jar, shake them up, watch them sting each other and die, it's a riot!
Wait, my doctor said that when I get like this I should write stuff down in my special journal.
Over and out.
