Hi everyone,
I'm a young mixed race guy. Mum is white British and Dad is from the Caribbean. When I was a baby my hair was very curly like you would expect from someone who is mixed but as i've grown up my hair has become straight. Whenever I go to the barbers they always ask where i'm from as they say my hair is very thick and afroey. Lots of people mistake me for being asian because of how my hair is.
I want advice on how to change it to make it more curly and less straight. What type of products should I be looking for?
Also would a hair/curl sponge make any difference?
For anyone wondering, i'd like my hair to look similar to people like Dele Alli and Jesse Lingard (England footballers)
Thank you
@jespah,
No, sometimes it can look curly if I leave my hair to dry but i've never had a real perm. I get a haircut every two weeks but by the second week it's so messy and hard to style how I want it
@AD516,
Ask your barbers, they're the ones who know about hair.
@InfraBlue,
It doesn't look it but my barbers say it feels it
