Did you write down your TCP/IP connection settings before you reformatted? It sounds like you are not set up properly.

Are you set up to obtain an IP address automatically?
Are you sure your router is working?
Can you ping your router?
Do you have another computer on the network that works?
Are your NIC card and wireless card recognized in your hardware?

What have you tried so far?

First thing to do is to have your system look for new hardware.
What OS are you using?

If it doesn't find the hardware, then you will probably have to manually tell it where the hardware is which will mean you need to find out some info.

if it is a notebook, make sure the wireless card is turned on, goto device manager and see if there is any flags next to anything and if there is you must install drivers for those devices. if you do not have the drivers you must locate them on the web, goto the manufacturers web site to get them.. please I can help you , i will need to know if this has been done or not. Another thing to check is if they are installed properly make sure they are not disabled... if you check the status for the NIC what does it show?
