Which is the correct preposition?

The church is on Upper Thomson Road.

if you want to use at, you would have to include the address --

The church is at 12345 Upper Thomson Road.

this is better --

The church is located at 12345 Upper Thomson Road.

There was a long thread here once, in the course of which an extraordinary amount of BS was peddled about "logic," something which cannot reasonably be applied to language usage.

Miss Tan is interested in British usage, therefore Izzy's reference to in the road is the correct answer.
