It is great for a man to have good female friends, it means they are able to have healthy respectful relationships. This benefits him in having a good romantic relationship with you.

I am in the same situation as your boyfriend... I have a girlfriend of a little less than a year, and a great friend that I have known for decades. These are two very different relationships; one is a lover the other is a best friend. I told my girlfriend from the beginning, and I talk to my best friend about pretty much anything (she is a source of support).

And yes, if I was having sex with my best friend I wouldn't tell my girlfriend about her at all (this would never happen, my best friend is like a sister to me). Your boyfriend isn't hiding anything. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

These friendships are a good thing, it means your boyfriend has a level of emotional maturity and can have a good relationship without sex.

And the other thing is, if they were going to have a relationship, they would have done it already!.... unless the girlfriend was already in a relationship and that was the reason they did not... because then If she suddenly became single, that might become something to raise an eyebrow!
