Hello Again (Pics and Big News) - I missed everyone!

I had a few minutes to say HEY, so I thought I would. I've been skimming through ...since I've left, but I was never "at home" to really join in the topics (didn't want to be rude while at the in-laws house since I was already sneaking on their computer).

Since my FI got back from Iraq, a lot has happened.

Run down:

* just got back from Vegas
* sweetheart bought me a 2005 Xterra two days ago!!! (he couldn't live with the thought of Yuki ...our OES... traveling in my tiny Toyota Echo which I loved and recommend to any person using it to work-home travel)
* House/Apt hunting in Oklahoma
* Moving to Oklahoma this COMING Tues
* Movers come Mon.
* Wedding is still May 21st in TEXAS (this causes lots of confusion and stress since we're living in a new state)

...and most importantly, my FI is no longer a FI ...he's my HUSBAND!!!

Wait, Wait.. hehehe

We JOP'ed (Justice of the Peace) April 20th because it takes a LOT of time, time, and time to get processed in Tricare (healthcare) and get into the military system for a spouse. We are in the middle of a move, wedding, and I have medical issues (and as a single had no health insurance), so this is what was appropriate and needed for us. I can't do anything without a military ID card (which you can only get if you're married).

We will still have a wonderful wedding planned May 21st, and consulted our minister before doing what many military couples are pressured/forced to do. He gave us his blessings, so we're happy!

i had to come tell you guys!!! lol

Kissing my new husband [well, as a married couple] for the first time!

Was it weird for anyone else to say/write "husband?" I keep trying to write FI ...and I have to double-think "husband." Really? Wow... I'm all grown up and stuff now. Laughing Laughing

Here is the link/thread I made with updated pics!!

Hooray!

<glad you snagged him, legally, sooner rather than later>

You're married. The religious ceremony and party can come later (and obviously will) - lots of my friends have gone this way. Civil marriage and then 1 or 2 or 3 religious ceremonies (depending on the circumstances).

Joa's married! Very Happy

I love seeing my favorite posters!!!! Gosh, I miss the days where I could spend all day on here!!! Then again, I don't.. I haven't watched reality tv in AGES ...and I have to say that life is more productive. I also actually get tons of stuff done, so it's been a good trade. Still... I learned so much from y'all.

djjd62, does the link not work? It's under what I wrote, and I just clicked on it and it worked fine for me??

Welcome back, and congrats, Joahaeyo. Glad to see the pup is comin' along just fin.

Oh, on that Husband thing - keep him on his toes - introduce him to everyone as your CURRENT husband.

And remember, from now on, when you get to the ticket window, its "Two Adults", not "One Adult and one Adultress" Twisted Evil Laughing :wink: Mr. Green

You know my face is still red since this is the first time I've had to write/say husband. With everyone else, I've just had to say "Congrats!"

His grandmother's name is MY NAME, so now with the name change, we share the same name. hehe

I really never thought this day would ever happen or better yet... that I'd find someone who can deal with my nonstop blabbermouth.

I told him he had to carry me in the house and all that traditional stuff. Nothing like driving him bonkers on the first night. lol

YEAH!!! I'm so happy for you and hubby Joahaeyo!

Thanks for the update and pics. What a sweet family you have already.

Be sure to pack the computer at the back of the truck so it's the first thing you set up on Wednesday. We can't wait to hear more.

Joah - No, I changed my avatar to these flowers when Cavfancier died. You may have missed all of that, too. Did you know Cav? Anyway, I kept them and one of his quotes just to remember him by.

I will have to read the thread, squinney. That's unbelievable. I remember jokingly making fun of him because of something he had asked before regarding my avatar. The quote you have is so appropriate. Sad Crying or Very sad

this is part of a pm I sent a friend

our good friend, Cavfancier, died on February 20, 2005

There are a couple of threads that you may want to take a look at - be prepared - there is some real pain expressed. It was good to have the support of this online community.

BoGoWo and I went to the funeral and the cemetery, and then to the Shiva with the family. The Prince came from England a few weeks later, and I took him to the cemetery to say farewell to Paul/Cav before we went to a get-together with Paul's parents and his wife (who is now posting as Buttercup, Mrs. Cavfancier).
