A cat's eyes will really do that ya know. Jerk the mouse quickly and the pupils of they eyes dilate. Clap your hands in front of your cat and the pupils go from slits to completely round, and back again, in seconds.

The kiddo DOES absolutely adore it, and she/we figured out that you can do all kinds of specific things -- wiggle the tag, tickle the cat's ears, etc.
The person who designed that KNOWS cats!
