We live in an outrage based culture; our news, politics and social media are filled with stories to titillate and fill us with self-righteous indulgent anger.

This thread is to highlight the stories that cross my social media or news feed each day.

First up....

Delta learns that giving someone your phone number is now considered sexual harrassment.

This caused an outcry leading to an apology from the airline.

@maxdancona,
Next thing you know, they will toss you off the plane for giving someone your business card.

The surcharge on NYC taxis has increased; $4 taxi fare; $4.80 surcharge. I sputtered; I yelled; I was outraged; I paid it.

Still sputtering.

After the lunatics of New York State legislation passed a bill in favor of banning plastic bags from all stores or else charging 5¢ each, the New York City Council couldn't resist making the cost of living even more prohibitive and promptly enacted a 5¢ charge on every paper bag that a store gives a patron.

@Sturgis,
Well, you know. Kill a tree or choke a duck.
