Import from China--About Textile Quota

Dear All,

I am hoping everyone who are experts with China trade can tell me something. I just started an import business and want to import silk scarves from China. It will be no problem for me to buy and ship goods from China. But, I am not sure if there is any limit for Chinese textiles imported to the U.S. What are the textile quota limits and how can I apply for one is necessary? What will the cost be to obtain a textile import license?

Thanks,

There are currently six categories that are subject to new quota restrictions by the US. Silk scarves is not one of them. Your supplier would definitely know if it was. There is no requirement that I know of to have a textile import license. You may want to register an RN number. It's just a way to track who the importer is.
