i think Green Day is because they're my favy, but what band(s) or singer(s) etc, do you think is the best in the world
I love Green Day three!! hehe i have every album apart from Shenanigans
i think blink 182 is the best, even though they have kinda sliped a little in the past year.
i love greenday too!!!!
hey this is basket case and i'm pretty bummed bout blink too i'm a great fan as well
Judas Priest. They would gut those little sissies and feed them to the first three rows of Priest fans.
Motorhead
plain and simple.

Lemmy himself could eat and destroy Green Day, Blink, Simple Plan, Sum 41 and all the rest of the clones and then floss them from between his teeth with an e string....

Little punk rock girly men... all of them.
Besides Ashlee Simpson, you mean?
My favorite band, talent-wise and live performance is Tool. They're just nasty.
But there is no "best" band on the planet. Music is subjective. Except Ashlee Simpson.

dont forget Insane Clown Posse... good god
I'd say the best band around currently IMO is Ween, they cannot stick to one genre of music, they have to master every one. Just listen to White Pepper, not one song is similar to another.
It's the "on the planet" thing that gets me. My favorites are all dead.
Let's see, though.
The "Yeah Yeah Yeahs" are making good stuff and simultaneously keeping it real, which a lot of bands seem to be having a hard time doing these days.
The "Flaming Lips" too.
And Sonic Youth. Still keeping it real.
I love Sonic Youth...but I haven't picked up any of their albums since probably the late 90's. The guitar is sick. I've seen them live before.
So the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are good stuff? I've heard about them, I've been meaning to pick up a cd.
I'm not sure Sonic Youth's albums after the 90s are much different than...the albums of the 90s. That's okay with me though, if they don't mess with a good thing. I haven't been lucky enough to see them live.
The Yeah Yeah Yeah's single "Maps" got a lot of radio time, it's ballady and might mislead some people. I think it's a great song, but the Fever To Tell album is very punk oriented. If you dig the White Stripes you might like it, not that YYYs are as bluesy or even sound exactly the same.
But they take punk in a new direction, manage to be melodic and headbangalicious at the same time. And Karen O., the singer, her squeals will make you "abuse the flesh."
Just by making us listen to them....
you guys do realise Blink split up right?? In my keenness to applaud Greenday i forgot to post my favourite band!! :O tbh i don't have an out and out favourite although i do live for Yellowcard
(hehe sensing a colour theme..... although i don't like the White Stripes or Deep Purple that much hehe)
Hmmm someone mentioned the YYYs.... we played something by them in battle of the bands last year... (as well as Twisted by Skunk Anansie and Glorybox by Portishead) came 2nd as well.... hmmmm what was it?? The chorus basically involved Rachel yelling "as a ****son you sucked* but i can't remember what it was...
GREEN DAY ROCK YOU IDIOTS SO DO BLINK YOUR JUST TOO IDIOTIC TO SEE THAT, I agree simple plan suck though
