What's your fave soundtrack?
That would be the score from the movie "Doctor Zhivago."
The harder they come
one of my faves, if not *the* fave
Queen-Its a kind of Magic is basically a soundtrack for Highlander.
In my next life I would like to be a screen writer. In the one after that I would like to compose film scores.
I recently watched a man by the name of Larry Groupe' interviewed. He is a music composer and has quite a few movie scores to his credit. His description of his work sounds very challenging as he has the main responsibility of setting the tone for the various emotions depending on what the scenes call for.
Larry is a young family man, graduate of UCSD. He decided to work in what he does rather than teach. He surfs daily and lives in Oceanside, California.
oh wow material girl :-)
that's the first soundtrack i ever heard! i absolutely loved Queen after that!!
well i have many favs, but for now i'd choose the ones for Lost in Translation and The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Right next to "Dr. Zhivago" I'd place "Lawrence of Arabia", another Maurice Jarre score. David Lean could certainly pick 'em.
i'd like to add some more great soundtracks!
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
Full Metal Jacket
Blues Brothers
for more classic things, i'd choose Fantasia. :-)
