Which films have the best soundtrack/song?

Ive never seen it all the way through but I love 2 songs from Dirty Dancing.Shes like the wind and time of your life.

I bought the Annie soundtrack at the weekend and love it.

I also consider Highlander to be a musical because of the Queen music that accompanies it.

The Wall.

Quote:
In the Flesh
The thin ice
Another brick in the wall (part 1)
The happiest days of our lives
Another brick in the wall (part 2)
Mother
Goodbye blue sky
Empty spaces
Young lust
One of my turns
Don't leave me now
Another brick in the wall (part 3)
Goodbye cruel world
Hey you
Is there anybody out there?
Nobody home
Vera
Bring the boys back home
Comfortably numb
The show must go on
In the Flesh
Run Like Hell
Waiting for the worms
Stop
The trial
Outside the wall

The Graduate.

Detroit Rock City.

1. Boys Are Back in Town - Everclear
2. Shout It out Loud - Kiss
3. Runnin' With the Devil - Van Halen
4. Cat Scratch Fever - Pantera
5. Iron Man - Black Sabbath
6. Highway to Hell - Marilyn Manson
7. 20th Century Boy - Drain S.T.H.
8. Detroit Rock City - Kiss
9. Jailbreak - Thin Lizzy
10. Surrender [Live] - Cheap Trick
11. Rebel Rebel - David Bowie
12. Strutter - The Donnas
13. School Days - The Runaways
14. Little Willy - Sweet
15. Nothing Can Keep Me from You - Kiss

The Donnas doing "Strutter" is a bit of a stretch. It would also be better if Ted had done Cat Scratch and Pantera did something else.

Dogs In Space (mostly early Australian punk/nw)
Repo Man (mostly early west coast us punk)
Until The End Of The World (the classiest bits of early 90s alt)
Rocky Horror Picture Show (how did this come from one man's brain)
Young Einstein (Late 80s aus alt pop)
Singles (Seattle show case from the early 90s)
Romeo and Juliet (Late 90s alt - great efforts from Garbage, Radiohead and the Butthole Surfers)
Baraka (World/Ambient)
Dead Man Walking (US folk/country - very tasteful and moving)
Koyaanisqatsi (Shove me five dimensions left and turn my head inside out - that organ bass is just orgasmic)

in a lot of ways it's more of the same, but if you enjoyed the first one you'll probably enjoy these too, they make up a trilogy apparently, starting with life out of balance, life in transformation and life as war

phillip glass composed the music for all three

Best Soundtrack Song? - Julia - Eurythmics from their soundtrack to 1984.

(I don't think it was used in the film itself, but that's a long story)

material girl, they did a whole soundtrack for the film but it wasn't used. It's really good (keeping in mind it was the early 80's) You can still buy the CD though!

Trainspotting - introduced me to Underworld

The Crow - great mix of artists

3. Helmet & House Of Pain: "Just Another Victim"
4. Living Colour & Run D.M.C.: "Me, Myself & My Microphone"
5. Slayer & Ice-T: "Disorder"
6. Dinosaur Jr. & Del Tha Funky Homosapien: "Missing Link"
7. Teenage Fan Club & De La Soul: "Fallin'"
8. Mudhoney & Sir Mix-A-Lot: "Freak Momma"
9. Faith No More & Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E.: "Another Body Murdered"
