Are certain lies “fatal”?

Bf of several years has a habit of lying about money. I broke up with him a few times I was so upset. He promised me this last time he changed. We do love each other.

We’ve talked about living together soon. But I caught him in another lie today. He told me he was putting money he inherited into a money market as a rainy day fund since he has nothing else saved and lives off a paycheck and social security. But I know he didn’t put the money away but spent it

This concerns me because first I’m worried he won’t be able to contribute towards the house expense if he really needs more each month than what’s he’s telling me and also he continues to lie!

What do I do?

@Crossroads20,
The answers haven't changed.

And God only knows how many others; I don't have the time to go digging for them right now.

The guy's a loser. He will bleed you dry. Staying with him is foolish. You are risking everything for no good reason. He will never, ever change. You have zero reason to trust this asshole.

You don't seem to want to accept that so here, I will tell you exactly what you want to hear.

He's awesome and will never, ever lie to you or steal from you. He doesn't want anything from you and will not drain your entire retirement savings in a few months. He didn't steal from his mother or, if he did, she was asking for it.

And now if you'll excuse me, unicorns are flying out of my butt and it's kind of uncomfortable.
