The question is in the tin. Little more explaining is needed.
I like: jazz (Herbie Hancock's "Head Hunters"), ska/ska punk (Less Than Jake, The Aquabats), hardcore punk (FEAR, Minor Threat), Hawaiian music (Ka'au Crater Boys), klezmer (The Klezmaniacs), metal (System of a Down, Sepultura), and avant-garde music (Mr. Bungle).
Side question: What pedals can I use to make a bass guitar (acoustic or electric) sound like an electric piano?
Some of any kind but rap. Just a very little hip hop.

Do you mean you want your bass to sound like the lower keys on a piano, or you want your bass to sound like a piano's usual register?
