Imagine, you you guy, you are a loving husband providing financially emotionally to your wife. You have a small son with her. Then wife decides to find a stud and start screwing around. She doesn't even tell you. She want your loving security , finance and your wonderful son with her is her world. But she is just not satisfied sexually with you. She thinks of you as boring sexually so she starts getting secrewed by a stud on the side. Your son my friend is your son, he has half genes from you, your traits is in your son. So basically even though your wife is cheating you, she is in essense screwing your son as well by screwing around with a stud.

She doesn't like boring sexual traits in you, in extension, she also unconsciously doesn't like those traits in her son with you so screws you both by getting secreweing by stud on the side. Even though it seems she is only screwing you, she is actually unconsciously screwing both you and yours and hers wonderful son who is her world.

So in retrospect, this is how it is - Wife finds husband loving, caring but SEXUALLY BORING. Sexually boring trait, the wife doesn't like in her husband. She finds a Stud who is exact opposite - The Stud is Sexually Exciting but not loving, caring etc. Now bring the son, son is the son of wife's loving, caring husband but the son is also by extension has that sexually boring trait. So the wife when she starts secrewing with the stud, consciously she has rebelled against her husband for his sexually boring trait. She has started humiliating her husband by getting screwings by the stud. But it doesn't end there. Unconsciously, the Wife has rejected her son /rebelled against her son as well as that son has the same sexually boring trait inherited from his loving caring father. So basically whenever she is screwed by the Stud, she not only humiliates her husband but also unconsciously humiliates her son as well willingly.

Don't just look at the surface, see the deeper layer.

I don't understand why the gender of the child matters. Actually, this is between the husband and wife (in either case). Other than the difficult of divorce on children, this has nothing to do with the kids.

It does if you study psychology higher up you will know. If you see forums on internet, usually moms will say that their sons find it much more harder to accept moms new boyfriends than their daughters. The sons if teens or bit older will even react violently. There's a reason for that. Intuitively sons are more connected to their mothers so when moms go playing around, sons usually get more affected than daughters

If you want to know, you need to ask women who are doing this, or have in the past. There will be plenty of different answers, as, everyone has their own reason.

Also let me try to explain in a basic way. This concept is hard to explain in just words so also try to use your imagination.

In most basic form of Human sexual nature:
Male = Physical Prowess
Female = Beauty

So when wife cheats on husband especially with a stronger male than her current husband, she is consciously rejecting her husband's masculinity or more like giving a middle finger to her husband's masculinity.

Now if the couple have a son, the son has inherited that masculinity from his father and not the stud. Since father's masculinity is getting trampled upon by cheating mother, the son will unconsciously if not consciously feel the debilitating effect of the mother's cheating with the stud. Hence why boys mostly rebel a lot more to divorces and cheating moms.

Also if you see research or even internet divorce forums, you will see that boys are mostly okay with their father even if the father has remarried. The sons don't have so much of a problem with their stepmom's or dad's girlfriends. Why they usually have more problems with mom's new partners - again the issue of masculinity in its most basic form - go to above paragraph.

Opposite is more true in case of girls. Since Dad has rejected the wife's beauty and cheated with a more beautiful female, daughter will feel like the father has also rejected her by rejecting her mother.

Actually the research in psychology in this particular area clearly has a conclusion. Even though I am not saying it is true in 100 % of cases, this is the majority conclusion:

- Usually wife finds husband not sexually exciting. Many times wives are still in marriage because husbands are earning good money and they don't want to upset the family cart. So in most cases, wife finds a side secrewer to satisfy her sexual needs. Now except in very rare cases, this side secrewer is a very high masculine stud compared to the husband.

And while the above is not true in 100% of cases of cheating, it is true in majority of cases. So yes if you read the research, there are not actually many reasons but only a few, and the above is true in the majority of cases of cheating research.

And by the way I'll end it here with info. Cheating on spouse is bad, it is not a mistake, it is willfully deliberately hurting somebody mercilessly who put trust in you.

Geez, not even 1 PM for learning the technique. Man what is this world has come down to. People are just not interested in learning the good stuff. Hahahaha.

Anyway thats fine. Since I am not gonna be here in the future, this will be my guidelines. I can't force you to but I can only suggest for future this and this applies to both Gents and Ladies who have been hurt by their partners(as the good lady mentioned I was too biased so I am working on it)

- Just Too many people have been hurt by their partners who seem pretty well behaved initially.

- If you get hurt in the future by your partner, there is no need to forgive or have stupid feelings of forgiveness. If you would like to take revenge, its absolutely fine.

- THIS - If you would like to take revenge - always think Psychological and NEVER Physical or you will straight away get in trouble with the law. Again PSYCHOLOGICAL REVENGE AND NOT PHYSICAL.
