Were Janet and Jason imitating Tina and Mick?

The Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction won't go away as a topic of discussion, although I agree with the talking head on the Greater Boston show the Friday after it happened that Janet suffered from being an aging rock star on the back end of her career.

I recently saw the rebroadcast of BandAid. Interestingly, the much more talented pair Tina Turner and Mick Jagger did a show business phony-sexy duet in which Mick ripped off Tina's miniskirt. Most of the bit seemed like the model for Janet and Jason.

And Janet said it was a mistake. Right!
