National Do Not Call List

I remember a few months ago it was VERY popular to enroll in the 3 or 4 dollar no call list.
The governement has issued a new FREE no call list to target telemarketers for EVERYONE.
You just submit your phone number/s and you will get a return email with in 24 hours that you have to respond to, and then you will be put on the list.
The only thing that is diffrent with this site is that this list lasts almost 10 years.
The pay list you hear about lasts only 2 years. Also, there ( to MY knowledge) isnt a way to report offences as there is with this list..
I could be wrong! But I enrolled in the pay No Call List and would get calls every now and then and no way to report the companies..

I enrolled in the FREE list a couple of month ago and
haven't had a sales call since (hurraaahhhh!!!).

Before that, I used to get up to 10 calls a day from
solicitors, and it was especially annoying at night, when
the child was asleep.

works great unless you have a number formerly owned by someone who owes everyone and God money.....which is, if you haven't guessed yet, what i have.

Funny you mention this today shewolfnm – I just registered my cell phones on this list (I had registered my home phone a few years ago). The list is good for 5 years from the date you register.

We still get telemarketer calls, but hopefully the list does cut down on them.

Actually my private phone number is too easy to remember
as I have 2 double digits in it, and therefore I got an abundance
of phone calls from telemarketers.
