Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office was installed on my computer without registration--a friend installed it. Now, Microsoft is sending me error messages that cause all programs to close. The reason given is that Microsoft Office needs to be updated. Hmmm, since this program isn't registered, there is no way for it to uninstalled--at least no way that I've discovered. Any ideas to solve this problem?
