So shes in college and UK consent is 16. Little backstory, so I met her on a dating app and she said sh was 18. I DO NOT go for 16 year old's on purpose. We hit it off and decided to meet, it was here when we decided to meet she told me she was 16 not 18. I was immediately confused as I liked her but y'know 16 and all. When I was 16 and girls my age went out with guys in there 20's we called them pervs. So anyway I told her to see what her dad though and if he was ok so was I. But im still confused and feel really bad. Help?
@CyberFerret,
She said she was 18 when really 16. Maybe you shouldn't take her word for what her dad says. She doesn't have a really good record for honesty.
@roger,
She said that he said I would have to meet him first so I will have to meet him before we actually go out.
@CyberFerret,
Mutual understanding doesn't need age quality. So you can date an elderly people if you really love them.
@Catalina,
I get that older people tend to have a large age gap sometimes but is the fact that shes only 16. Granted she might be almost 17 but would that make it any better?
@CyberFerret,
At 16 and 21, that is a really big gap. In five years she may seem to be a completely different person.
Good luck, whatever you decide.
@roger,
I agree with Roger. At 21 you are an adult with adult responsibilities. A 16 year old is a child. At 21 you should be working or finishing college and starting a career. At 16 people learn to drive. This is an imbalance, not just in age, but also in stage of life.
You should be dating an adult.
