Can’t log in or recover account.....?

can someone explain what has happened to my account. other people can find my account but i tried to change my password because kf a bitter divorce, and when I did, i got the typical passcode emailed to me, but anytime i entered it, it would say that i have entered it too many times. this has been for two weeks now and it says it even on the first attempt. so then i tried to recover my account using my name, phone number and email. it says none of these are recognized??! how do i fix this? please help, thanks
