Is the first sentence grammatical?

Jenny talked about her experience to convert her parents to ABC religion. Initially, her parents did not approve of her embracing the religion, but they gradually accepted it after seeing that she has become a better person. They finally agreed to embrace the religion.

Is the first sentence grammatically correct?

Thanks.

@tanguatlay,
It is not incorrect, but it is awkward. One could anticipate Jenny's eventual success in converting her parents by using that locution: Jenny talked about her experience in converting her parents to ABC religion.

(I'm sorry that I did not see your question until now.)

Jenny converted, not her parents. Right?

So try:

Jenny talked to her parents about her experience when converting to ABC religion.
