@eurocelticyankee,
Big game on 24th. The Mighty Liverpool against resurgent Manchester United.

I'll be behind the sofa.

Tight week this week, no more than 4pts between each of us.
The Unforgiven scraped home, KKKlop won (naturally) and unbelievably the
Local Boys won again.
Bit of a break now, no action till the 22nd.
Oh, good. Gives me more time to sulk.

In the interim, there are UEFA and FA Cup games.

How do managers of EPL teams handle this? Do they prioritize EPL and rest
their big guns in these other tournaments?

@George,
Depends on the side/squad. For most sides in the bottom half the priority is staying up, but a good cup run can really lift the spirits, and for most sides there's nothing more important than the FA Cup. There is a romance to the competition you don't get anywhere else.

Having said that, once you're out you're out.

As for the European cups it depends on performance across the board, if a side is doing well in one competition but doesn't look like they'll do brilliantly in others they may want to focus on that competition.

This becomes clearer the more a season progresses once it's mathematically impossible to come top of the league/top 4/6 other priorities come into consideration.

@izzythepush,
Have the odds makers put anything out yet as to Fulham staying up?

@McGentrix,
Probably, you can bet on anything over here. Just google Fulham relegation odds.

There you go, not just Fulham but all bottom half sides odds to avoid relegation.

Never would have put you in the same category as Wolfie. At least you're beginning to see the light.

@eurocelticyankee,
That time again.

Word to the wise, there are 4 teams not playing in this weeks round.
Brighton, Everton, Chelsea & Man City don't play, reason being Chelsea & Man City are playing in the League Cup final.

So saddle up boys, game on.

@eurocelticyankee,
Great match between the Klopp & Riders this week, from 45 to 12 down the klopp fought back well but the Riders just held on to win by 3pts. Great score by both teams.
The Wee Lads beat the Hamster in another tight game and the Unforgiven had it handy enough with the Local Boys having a bad week.

Quick turn around this week with week 28 beginning on the 26th (tues) and week 29 beginning on the 2nd Mar (Sat).

@eurocelticyankee,
Congrats George. A close battle between us.

I have no City players in my team at the moment. They play West Ham tomorrow night but are likely to still be hungover after their cup win on Sunday.

What did you make of the Kepa incident Euro? Sarri's days look numbered. Felt a tad sorry for him but any Chelsea manager must surely know by now what they're getting into.

@lmur,
I thought the Kepa incident was a disgrace and like that I felt sorri for Sarri. sì sì.
But it's no surprise, players hold the power these days and it's not unique to Chelsea.
******* bubble wrapped overpaid prima donna's, excuse my French.

It's you & me up next Imur and it's a must win for me.

@eurocelticyankee,
One of my work colleagues who sits at the next desk also plays in our office league.

The bastardo (excuse my Latin) waited until we were paired in the head-to-head before playing his triple captain - Aguero. Cue the inevitable hat-trick and 125+ points for him.

When I played my triple captain some time back I also picked Aguero - who was promptly dropped to the bench and never came on.

I'm not bitter - honest.

@eurocelticyankee,
The Klopp were held again this week, giving the rest of us a bit of a chance to catch up.
The Riders beat the Wee Lads with another excellent score, found your groove George.
The Hamster just about beat the Local Boys with scores that continue to amaze, considering.
