He and I are good friends and we've known each other for awhile. I was in his dorm and he and I were talking to each other. Nobody else was in there but us. Generally when he speaks, his voice is medium pitched. But, at one point while he was talking to me about his hobbies, his voice sounded deeper. It sounded as if he were telling me a secret and didn't want anybody else to hear even though we were alone. Also, while he was speaking to me, he paused to take a deep breath which was a tad shaky. After he took that deep breath, his voice became even more gruff as he continued to talk.
What does it mean when a man's voice gets deeper while he's talking to a woman?
@willow11,
It has nothing to do with talking to a woman. Many people have changes in the quality of their voice while talking about things that are emotional.
@willow11,
Maybe you should ask your therapist
Maybe he'd inadvertently just sat down on his testicles, that makes my voice change.

@willow11,
Is he the son of your therapist?
Maybe he's going through a late puberty right before your very eyes.
Sorry.
People's voice get deeper when they relax their throat or when they are simply looking down and constricting their neck.
A moment of reflection, sometimes associated with trust.
