A man's legs and hands were amputated and more than a month later, he's still hospitalized awaiting more surgeries.
The cause of all of this: Bacteria from dog saliva that caused a rare blood infection, doctors told them.
Capnocytophaga canimorsus is a bacterial pathogen found in healthy dogs and cats. There are more than 700 different types of bacteria in a dog's mouth. While rare, people have contracted this bacteria, usually through dog bites, and died.
What are the frakking odds of this ACTUALLY happening? If that sadsack excuse for fearmongering journalism actually stated the Vegas odds? I bet that winning the lottery or being hit by lightning 3 times in a row is a more likely fate than this extremely rare affliction.
If I'm going to win a Darwin Award by this? I'll die with full honors!

Especially if your dog has been eating the dog poop of other dogs.
We always knew if our dog had been eating dog poop, because we could smell it on her breath. Sometimes we would catch her in the act and stop her from finishing.
